Alberta’s Occupational Health Nurses provide integrated occupational health and safety services to employers and employees.
Active Membership is open to nurses who are currently registered in accordance with the Health Professions Act of Alberta and who are actively employed in an occupational health role in Alberta. Associate Membership is open to nurses who are currently or were formerly registered in accordance with the Health Professions Act or nursing governing body in their jurisdiction. Associate members are not employed in an occupational health role in Alberta (or in another jurisdiction). Associate membership is available to students pursuing educational studies in the area of occupational health. Honorary Membership is awarded by the association to members who are retired in recognition for their service to the profession.
